River Cocker Conservation

Cocker Catchment Volunteer Group with West Cumbria Rivers Trust

Meeting on the second Thursday of the month this volunteer group concentrates on practical conservation work in the River Cocker catchment. This work will be focused on helping to slow the flow and improving biodiversity. The tasks will involve tree and hedge maintenance, invasive species management, tree and hedge planting and willow pegging. We aim to offer an enjoyable day of practical work once a month which will benefit the individuals involved, the local area and the local wildlife.
