I wanted to take on a big endurance adventure, combining running – my main passion -, and tackling the climate crisis, the most important issue of our time, and the topic I’d studied at University and worked in so far. I created the idea of the ‘New Story Run’, and set off from Loweswater on 19th August to attempt to run to Mongolia! Carrying camping stuff in a rucksack, I planned to meet people along the way who were tackling the climate crisis and making the world a better place, and tell their stories on my website and social media. I made it to Bulgaria, 4800km on foot, meeting people along the ways who’s stories you can read HERE on my website. After this, the pandemic put a pause to the journey and I’m back in the Lake District with the remainder of the run delayed until 2022. It’s been an amazing journey so far, and I really appreciate the generous support given by Melbreak Communities and Loweswater 77 club, which helped me on my way.To find out more, check out my website here, and watch the New Story Run film here.
